Company Settings

Your company's identity, your subscription, and the settings that quietly affect everyone: the logo on your invoices, the default language, who has an account, and what only Jobmand support can change.

└── Parameters

My Company is available on every plan, including Free — you always need to be able to fix your own billing details.

My Company

The screen has three tabs: Company Settings (everything in this section), Billing & Subscription and Roles & Permissions. It opens on Company Settings. The upgrade button on a locked module takes you straight to Billing & Subscription.

Upload your logo here. It appears at the top of every printed estimate, invoice and report, and in the customer portal header.

Do this before you send your first invoice. A logo takes thirty seconds and it's the difference between a document that looks like your company's and one that looks like a spreadsheet.

Address & contact

Company name, email, phone, and the full address — street, city, state, ZIP, country.

These print on customer-facing documents, so treat them as published information rather than internal notes. The company name in particular is what your customers read at the top of everything you send them.

Click Save Changes when you're done.

Tax rate

The Taxes part of the form sets the tax your invoices and estimates charge.

FieldNotes
Tax nameWhat prints next to the amount — Sales Tax, HST, VAT
Default tax rate (%)The rate every new invoice and estimate starts with. It's charged only on lines marked Taxable — see how tax is calculated

If the rate is empty and your address has a US state or a Canadian province, Jobmand fills in that state's base rate when you save. Use state rate does the same straight away.

The state rate is a starting point, not your full rate. Most US counties and cities add their own sales tax on top. Check the rate you actually have to collect and type that in.

Only an admin can change the tax settings. A new rate applies to invoices and estimates created from then on — existing ones keep theirs.

Default language

English, Spanish or Português. This is the language a new user gets before they choose their own.

It does not override anyone's personal setting. To change the language for one person, edit their employee record; to change it just for yourself right now, use the flag in the top bar.

How employees clock in

A choice at the bottom of the My Company form. It sets how your crews start the clock in the mobile app:

With either QR option, the QR Code tab appears inside every project, where you generate and print that site's code, and Clock in by QR Code appears on the mobile app's Profile tab — see Jobsite QR codes for the whole flow.

Task for QR clock-ins names the task that QR hours are booked to. Jobmand creates a task with that name on each project the first time someone scans there, and reuses it after that. Leave it blank to use Jobsite work.

Click Save Changes to apply it. Only an admin can change this setting.

Anyone already signed in on the mobile app sees the change after signing in again. The app learns the setting at sign-in, so tell the crew to sign out and back in — or just wait for the next morning.

TV display

The TV display card, below the My Company form, puts the Dashboard on a screen in the office or the shop — full screen, large type, no menus. Each screen gets its own display link: you open it once in the TV's browser, nobody signs in on the TV, and the screen looks after itself from then on. You see the card if you can edit My Company.

  1. Click New display and give it a Display nameOffice TV, Shop floor.
  2. Set how it behaves (table below) and click Create display.
  3. Jobmand shows the Display link. Copy it and open it in the browser of that TV — type it, or send it to yourself and open it there. Put the browser in full screen.
SettingWhat it does
Refresh every (seconds)How often the numbers update, without the page flashing. Starts at 60; the minimum is 15
Change board every (seconds)How long each board stays up before the next one. Starts at 20; 0 keeps the first board on screen
Boards on this screenWhich boards take turns: Overview, Projects, Financial, CRM, Operations, This week. A board whose module isn't in your plan is skipped
Show money on this screenOff to begin with: every currency figure is hidden, so a screen in front of the crew or of visitors shows counts only. Tick it for a screen in a private office

The Overview board carries the headline tiles, Needs attention and Clocked in now; the other boards mirror their Dashboard sections, and This week is a Monday-to-Sunday timeline of the projects starting or ending in the week, the open tasks running through it and the routes scheduled in it, with today's column highlighted. Companies with Analytics also get trend charts on the boards. Besides refreshing its numbers, the screen reloads itself every few hours, so Jobmand updates reach the TV without anyone touching it.

What people earn never appears on a TV — there is no Workforce board, and no pay figure on any board, whether or not Show money on this screen is ticked.

Managing displays

Each display in the list shows whether it is Active or Revoked, whether it Shows money, its timings, and when the screen was last seen — a quick way to notice a TV that has been switched off.

Treat the link like a password. Anyone who has it can see that board without signing in. It can't be used for anything else in Jobmand — it opens the TV board and nothing more — but if it leaks, Revoke the display and create a new one.

Adjusting one screen from its address

You can fine-tune a single TV without editing the display, by adding parameters to the end of its link:

…/tv?token=…&refresh=30&rotate=0&boards=overview,financial&money=0
ParameterEffect
refresh=30Update the numbers every 30 seconds
rotate=0Don't rotate — stay on the first board. Any other number is seconds per board
boards=overview, financialShow only these boards, chosen among the ones the display already allows
money=0Hide money on this screen even if the display allows it. There is no money=1: only the Show money on this screen setting can turn money on

Billing & Subscription

The second tab of My Company. This is your subscription to Jobmand — not your customers' invoices, which live in Invoices.

Your plan

Shows the current plan and subscription state. Your plan is what decides which modules appear in the sidebar at all — see Plans for the full breakdown of what each tier unlocks.

Payment method

The card on file. If nothing is saved you'll see "No payment method on file" — worth fixing before it becomes a problem, because a trial that ends with no card leads straight to the lock screen.

Watch for the card-expiry banners. Jobmand warns when a saved card is close to expiring and again when it has expired. Both are easy to dismiss and easy to forget; the consequence is a failed renewal.

Recent invoices

Your recent Jobmand charges, straight from the payment provider. Use these for your own bookkeeping.

Cancelling & renewing

Cancelling schedules the subscription to end at the close of the current period — you keep working until then, with a Cancellation scheduled banner showing. You can reverse it from this screen before the date.

After it ends, the whole app is replaced by a renewal screen. Nothing is deleted — renewing brings everything back exactly as it was. See If the app locks.

Users & roles

There's no separate "users" screen. Everyone who signs into Jobmand is an employee record, and that's where you create accounts, set passwords, and choose between the Employee and Admin roles.

See Employees for the full field list and what each role can see. For finer control than the two roles, use Roles & Permissions.

Your plan has a user limit. If you can't add anyone else, you've reached the seat count for your plan — raise the plan or free up a seat.

Roles & Permissions

The Roles & Permissions tab of My Company decides, module by module, who can View, Create, Edit and Delete. Reach for it when "Employee or Admin" is too blunt — an office manager who runs invoices but shouldn't see payroll, or a foreman who needs projects but not your customers' billing.

Nothing changes until you switch it on. Until then your company runs on the standard access described in Roles, so you can set everything up at your own pace.

Only modules your plan includes are listed. Permissions can narrow what your plan unlocks, never widen it.

Groups

A group is a job description: Office manager, Foreman, Estimator. On the Groups tab, type a name and click +, then pick the group to edit it:

The Estimator needs the Price Book. It fills its options from the Price Book, so a group with Estimator but no View on Price Book opens an empty screen. The card warns you when a group is set up that way.

Individual overrides

On the People tab, choose a person to see their groups and set exceptions just for them. Each cell cycles through three states:

StateMeans
Inherit (–)Use whatever the person's groups allow. The default.
Allow (✓)Give it to this person even if none of their groups does.
Deny (✕)Refuse it to this person even if a group grants it. Deny always wins.

The Access once enforced column shows the result as you click, before you save. The company owner — the account that registered the company — always has full access and isn't listed.

Turning it on

The card reads Not enforced until you click Turn on enforcement and confirm. From then on:

Jobmand won't let you turn it on before there is at least one group with at least one member. What you save takes effect straight away; each person's menu catches up the next time they open or reload the app.

Turn off enforcement puts everyone back on the standard access. Your groups and overrides are kept for next time.

Translations

Pro plan, in the superadmin System group. A table of Language Code / Label Key / Label Value, with add, edit and delete.

It's an override layer: a row here replaces the built-in wording for that key in that language, without touching the app itself. Use it to make Jobmand speak your industry's vocabulary — "Job" instead of "Project", or a regional term your crew actually uses.

You need the label key, not the visible text. Editing here means knowing which key drives which label, so it's usually done with help rather than by guessing.

Parameters

Pro plan, also in the superadmin System group. A simple key / value / description table for system-level settings, with add, edit and delete.

Don't experiment here. Parameters change system behaviour and there's no undo. Change one only when you've been told exactly which key and which value.

Switches only support can flip

A few things behave like settings but aren't on any settings screen — they're switched on for your company by Jobmand:

FAQ & Troubleshooting

I can't see the gear icon.
My Company is admin-only. Employees don't have it.
My logo isn't showing on invoices.
Confirm it saved on My Company, then re-open the invoice — documents pick the logo up when they're generated. Very large images can be slow; a reasonably sized PNG works best.
I changed the default language but nobody's app changed.
Default language applies to new users. Existing people keep their own setting — change it on their employee record.
It says "No payment method on file" but we've been paying.
Open Manage Subscription and check the card is attached to the current subscription. Contact support if the charges are going through but nothing is listed.
Can I downgrade my plan?
Yes, from Manage Subscription. Modules above the new plan disappear from the sidebar, but no data is deleted — it comes back if you upgrade again.
We cancelled by mistake.
If the period hasn't ended, reverse it from this screen. If it has, use Renew Subscription on the lock screen — everything is intact.
Can I add a second admin?
Yes — set their role to Admin on their employee record. On its own, admin is all-or-nothing across the company; to limit someone to certain modules, use Roles & Permissions.
Someone lost access to a module after we turned on permissions.
They aren't in a group that grants it, or an override denies it. Choose them on the People tab — the Access once enforced column shows what they get and why.
Where do I turn on QR clock-in?
How employees clock in, at the bottom of the My Company form. Choose By jobsite QR code or Both, save, and the QR Code tab appears inside every project.
The office TV says "This display link was revoked".
Someone clicked Revoke on that display, or deleted it. In TV display, click Reactivate — the same link works again — or create a new display and open its link on the TV.
I closed the window before copying the display link.
Use Get the link again on that display. The link is only ever shown at that moment, never in the list.
The TV shows counts but no money.
That's the starting setting. Edit the display and tick Show money on this screen — and think about who can see that screen first. Pay is never shown either way.
A board I ticked never comes up on the TV.
Its module isn't in your plan, so the screen skips it. Financial and CRM boards need plans that include those modules.
I don't see Translations or Parameters.
They're Pro features living in the superadmin System group. Most companies never need them.
